The Secondhand Inspiration Project begins with a motivational quote and ventures wherever the creative path meanders.

Marcus Garvey was a Jamaican-born political leader, journalist, and activist who emerged as a prominent figure in the Pan-African movement. He founded the Universal Negro Improvement Association (UNIA) in 1914, advocating for the economic, social, and political empowerment of black people worldwide.

Garvey’s vision centered on racial pride, self-reliance, and establishing an independent African homeland. He promoted the concept of “Africa for Africans” and encouraged the repatriation of black people to Africa. His influence extended globally, particularly in the United States and the Caribbean, where he galvanized millions with his message of black liberation and self-determination.

Despite opposition from colonial powers and internal strife within the movement, Garvey’s legacy remains a symbol of resistance against racial oppression. Marcus Garvey’s statement -

“With confidence, you have won before you have started.”

- outlines the power self-belief and a positive mindset have in achieving success. Let’s delve deeper into its meaning and relevance to our daily lives.
